Hehe, I remember getting 17 Ectos within 5 hours during the preview event. That was when it was a lot faster, 20-30 mins.

You can get anti-farm quite easily here. I'd say anything over 5-7 runs and you're pushing it. As a matter of fact I was there last night and for the first time ever I got the anti-farm spam. The only reason I was over farming it was to test a new build. I was going to post the build in a bit as it's fun to do something different...ESPECIALLY with something as repetative as farming these dragon mosses.
Also I found Mo/R is very nice for this farm spot. Use Serpents Quickness before you cast SoJ and SoJ will be ready to cast again before it runs out. With this method you can cast your SoJ before you aggro.
Even better is the build I was playing with last night. I'll post it here in a few.
Last night with the first 7 runs I did I got 5 golds to include one Gothic Sword, two Gothic Axes, another staff and a wand if I remember correctly. It's too bad they all ID'd to be crapola but the mods were decent. I'm won't go as far to say it's 20k/hour (not including rare drops), but it's easily 10k/hour. The only problem with that is within an hour you're going to have some serious anti-farm going on so you can't just farm these things non-stop. If you have a farming sequence though it's definately a spot that's worthy of ~5 runs then move on to your next farming hot spot.

I agree with levi as well. Although I havent seen these gold drops as often as people have been saying. However, its easy, its quick, and it WOULD make a good edition to a farming routine. But After 5 runs I would move on to something else real quick-like.

I used to do shiroken runs, tonnes and tonnes of them. On the preview weekend for NF, suddenly I'm getting golds galore, one every run, instead of one per three runs if i'm lucky. Guess what? 80% of farmers went to test out NF.

drop rates aren't global (at least according to Gaile, but who knows, she's been wrong before). from what's been said, the anti farm code only targets individuals who are repeatedly farming an area. if others are farming it, it shouldn't affect you.

Lol woo new record for me on feedback my previous record was 5 xD
EDIT: I Only get 500-600g per run inc drops. But thing is if you've done it right the run should take no more than 1.5 mins. So thats 1k every 3 mins.

Yes, the drops used to be outstanding..when this was first discovered, and like a previous post stated, one day...poof, the drops went to hell.
Now the drops consist of mostly Dragon Roots, Spiritwood Planks and gold piece drops in the 90-110 range. The xp is nice as well.
Prolly the fastest build is a E/Mo simply spamming Searing Flames once you pull them away from the Wardens and group them properly.

Here's the warrior/rt build i use here it works well but pretty unforgiving if you make a mistake.
VwK
Resiliant Weapon
Vengeful Weapon
Watch yourself
Doly's Sig
signet of stamina
Empty
Tatics-9
STR-9
restoration-12
Cast sig of stamina at the beginning as you will not hit anything
Keep Resiliant Weapon up as long as they have hexes on you
Keep doly's sig and watch yourself up
Cast VwK as much as possible
Cast Vengeful Weapon if they stop hexing you
I use dreadnaughts armor for the extra +10 vs elemental which is extremely important ive tried this without it and it is alot harder.

yay i found this the first time I got my monk to Echovald Forest, which is almost a year ago now...
20k is a high estimate, but not that much off. But it bores fast.
Btw, if u get an interrupt skill, you can get the Ranger Insect boss down the slope as well. Just interrupt Troll (i used disrupting chop).

Even better, E/Mo, drag the mob down the hill with you and use their attacks + Sliver Armor on the Boss...kills him in under 15 seconds.

I doubt it's much faster if at all, having farmed here with e/mo, e/me, and mo/r. Sure the initial setup is probably quicker since you dont have to cast the 55 monk enchants, but I kill all the dragon moss in 1 cast of soj.
I'll farm here when I'm bored and just wanting to change some things up, but in general this was nerfed long ago.
